Welcome to the 2nd annual Jaws of Life Charity motorcycle ride!
This ride was established in 2008 by West Yellowstone's Hebgen Basin Fire District to raise funds to purchase extrication equipment. The $35.00 per person entry fee includes a commenorative t-shirt, poker ride (with cash prizes) and a roast pig dinner. Dinner will again be slow cooked by local favorite, Steve Augustine, and accompanied by the rock/ blues riffs of Bluejack, hailing, from Bozeman,MT. Fireworks, weather permitting, will begin about 10:00pm.
This years Poker ride duplicates our route last year, except that we will be reversing course. Once again we register at Yellowstone Moterhad, 127 Yellowstone Avenue. We leave West Yellowstone heading south on US20 through Island Park, ID to our first stop at Trouthunters. Then on to Ashton, ID and that grand old watering hole, Ott's Place. Now, the ride winds north on state hwy 47 along the Snake River past Upper and Lower Mesa Falls, back to US20, then north to Island Park Lodge. The fourth leg takes us past Henry's Lake to US87, over Reynolds Pass and back into Montana, past Earthquake Lake( formed in 1959 by one of the strongest quakes in U.S. history), and Hebgen Lake for our last poker stop, Longhorn Saloon. The last leg of the 155 mile ride takes us back to West Yellowstone and dinner. Our riders are encouraged to show their biker pride by riding in our local Fourth of July parade, which begins at 5:00pm. Dinner begins at 6:00pm.
Last years ride was a roaring success, and we expect more of the same this year. Come join in our small town Fourth of July celebration. For more information call Scott at 406-640-2792.
